Tiny Forest Planting Day
🍃🌳🌿☘️🌲
We were thrilled to celebrate the planting of the long-awaited
Tiny Forest on 18th March 2022. We opened our school doors to
over 200 members of extended school community and had a
wonderful, sunny day planting over 450 trees. We were pleased
to have parents and other community members back in the
school.
Mr. Zijlstra, the school director, made an inspiring speech
about our school’s role in promoting a sustainable future and
placed a peace dove in the heart of the Forest to show our
solidarity with the people involved in global conflicts. Other
speeches were made by student body President, Simon H, the
General Consul of Kazakhstan and Mr Kohl, the consultant to the
TinyForest project.
A special thanks to Ms Bebb for coordinating the project, the
185+ sponsors who generously donated funds to realise our dream
of having the TinyForest and to support future students of
ESRM, and of course to all the students from ISRM, the primary
school and the secondary school who were involved with the
planting.
